Fig. 1 Specimen holdings per species on average according to provinces. Specimen holdings were extracted from Fu (1993). The Herbarium PE houses specimens from all different provinces, digitized information of specimens of PE was dissected according to provinces and the specimen holdings were integrated together. Species richness of different provinces was from China Plant Catalogue (CNPC) and local provincial Floras.
