ON THE EVOLUTION AND DISTRIBUTION IN LABIATAE

论唇形科的进化与分布

Abstract: Labiatae is a cosmopolitan bigger family. It contains about 221 genera (among them 63 genera are monotypic) and about 6,000 species. Most genera distributed in old World, and only 40 genera are endemic to New World. Widely distributed genera are Teucrium, Scutellaria, Prunella, Stachys, Salvia, Micromeria and Ocimum. There are 13 genera having more than 100 species, e. g. Salvia (700-1050 species), Hyptis (350-400), Thymus(300- 400), Scutellaria (300), Stachys (c. 300), Nepeta (250), Teucrium (100-300), Pogostemon (140-160), Plectranthus s.str. (c.200), Rabdosia(150), Micromeria (130), Ocimum (l00-150), and Phlomis (c.100). Many of the widely distributed and bigger genera mainly concentrated in Mediterrancan Region and Near East to Central Asia.

摘要: 就科进化而言,唇形科无疑是与马鞭草科有最密切的联系,并且可以把本科的马鞭草状植物认为是其最原始的类型。另一方面,本科与紫草科也有不少联系,但其胚根下向而断然不同;与玄参科也有不少相似之处,但只是在一些次要特征上。科内系统,虽然近年来新增加一些亚科、族等,但J.Briquet的系统基本上仍为大家所接受。他的系统把本科分为一些亚科、族和亚族,依据花柱是否着生子房底和小坚果着生面大小分为两大群,花柱不着生子房底且小坚果着生面大的一群为原始。本文企图根据这个系统,结合各大群分布的情况进而阐述本科内各亚科、族和亚族进化线索,从而对本科内涉及到时间和空间的进化和分布两方面问题有一个概括性的了解。此外,文后附上唇形科的系统排列及其分布表和唇形科一些亚科、族、亚族的分布略图以供参考。
